Mr. Right & Mrs. Always Right – the Wedding of Kayleigh and Joel.
What we remember most about the night of December 24th, 2013, was
thinking why on earth would anyone choose to be outside on a night
like this! It was so cold that evening – we think it was –26C or
something equally insane – that the downtown core was practically
deserted. And it was Christmas Eve to boot, the time when last-minute
shoppers really come to life! It had been frigid all week because of
the “Artic Vortex” that had funnelled its way down from the high
north, and all of Ontario seemed to be huddled indoors, avoiding the
cold. All of Ontario, except for one love-struck couple – Kayleigh and
Joel.
In the middle of Dundas Square in the heart of downtown Toronto, in
super sub-zero temperatures, Joel got down on one knee and proposed to a completely unsuspecting Kayleigh.
Well, flash-forward 20 months and the day was finally here – the
Wedding of Kayleigh and Joel. And what a fabulous day it was. It
certainly wasn’t –26C (thank god!), but, squished between a week and
weekend of cloudy and overcast days, Friday, 28 August 2015 somehow managed to be the perfect day. It was warm and sunny, neither too hot nor too humid, as I said, the most ideal day ever for a wedding.
Kayleigh and Joel invited their closest family and friends to
celebrate their day of love and promises. And, as the sun silently set
behind them and a gentle breeze blew in off Lake Ontario, Kayleigh and
Joel exchanged vows atop the magnificent Atlantis Pavilion at Ontario
Place. It was breathtaking!
Froz’n Motion wishes to thank you for inviting us into your circle of
love and friendship, into your enormous blended families and amazing
friends. It was such an honour to spend time with you all, getting to
know you and the amazing story of your love, and photographing you at the same time. We wish the two of you all the happiness possible in
the days and years to come, and knowing that, for both of you, your
families’ love and support will be there for you always to carry you
forward.
Much love and appreciation… C & H!
